The release of States of Becoming marks an important milestone for the Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton: ten seasons of music-making, artistic discovery, collaboration, and growth. Since its founding, the orchestra has sought to create a place where experienced musicians and emerging artists can come together, explore new ideas, and share the experience of making music. This album celebrates that commitment through seven works that have a particularly close relationship with the orchestra. Each was commissioned by, dedicated to, or written specifically for the Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton.
